Charcoal drawing is something I love to do. I get pleasure drawing the lines, the shadings, and even little accidents like a broken piece of charcoal can add interest. Sometimes the drawings exist in their own right as a final. But for every painting I do, a charcoal drawing is the basis for the final piece even though the final might change and be very different from the starting sketch.
