Flying "Chinese" Robe - New York, NY; 40"x52", Oil on canvas

$6,500.00

One of my wife’s 1920’s coats… why I always called it “Chinese” I’m not sure. Loved the feeling it gave me… as if it was alive. Elegant lines and patterns. Painted this in the dining room in Brooklyn, 1981. After hauling it around from Brooklyn, to Soho, to New Paltz, to Sarasota I finally gave it a good cleaning and touch up in New Hartford. Back to the way it was 43 years ago.
